so this just happened with the Gilbert Police..

I shit you guys not on this story..

So I was going a little faster than the two officers next to me on the street. Nothing too bad 47 on a 45 zone. After about 3 stop lights they acted like they were turning and then got back on the street. Pulled up to my left side and indicated for me to roll my windows down (thinking oh god I'm in trouble again) talked for about a minute to me about how they thought my car was very cool , had an "ominous" look and asked how much money I had put in it. I no longer hate cops.

Cops are people too! I'm pretty sure if they didn't have to deal with dumbass drivers so often... most of them would be pretty nice folks, nearly all of the time.

Most officers are good people. They've always shown up when I've needed them! Sometimes they even show up when I don't need them, but I've never taken it personally.

I have a similiar story but in another car (charger RT) that I had modded greatly, a cop was checkin my car out (driving behind me, side, in front) came back to the side and told me to roll down my window... just to tell me nice ride

Was very paranoid for a second cause the car had illegal tints, no front plates.. They all aren't that bad and probably car people also.

Living right next to the GPD, they are pretty strict. Like any LEO, give them respect and you've got a good chance of getting off. Try to show them up, or give them some lip and they just keeeeep writing......

Theres a bunch of LEO with heavily modded cars outhere...nothing new. I think they are a reflection of plp in general; some A-hole mixed with a bunch of great/normal guys.

I think it is still an abuse of power to make people roll their window because you know they will since you are a law enforcement officer even if you are saying something nice...

Two cops chased me down a lonely road about 20 years ago, actually in the town I live in now, lights flashing, sirens wailing, 2:30 am.

I pull over- I'm in my '70 convertible with the dumb exhaust and hood scoops etc- and one cop comes to the door. "Your plate light is out" he says

"Really? Mind if I get out and look?"

"...uhhmm. Yeah.... So. Where do you get your GS parts? I have a GTO I need rear quarters for"

Yes, I was hunted down by the 5-0 for a lead on muscle car parts.

popo aren't robots, they enjoy the same stuff. There are the rare occasions when you get an a-hole. Hey, everyone has at least one right? Usually most stops are done because of something someone is doing to draw attention to themselves.

BTW, search "Im sorry officer" on YouTube. Hilarious and shows cops can have a sense of humor too.
