I usually back my car into my garage and parking spaces. I notice that sometimes when I am cutting the wheel counter clockwise while in Reverse, there is a scraping sound. The first time this happened, I was driving and missed my turn, so I pulled into someone's driveway to turn around and I heard this scraping noise. Well at the time, I thought that I had bottomed out and that the noise was the front end scraping the driveway. I looked under the car and there was no damage. Well, several times since, i have heard the same noise I realized that this happened only when in Reverse and cutting the wheel counter clockwise. Anyone else with a SS M6 have this happen? Anyone know what may be causing this? Thanks

I just experienced the same thing when backing up while turning the wheel,
tried to purposely duplicate it and cannot. It was like the underside scrapped the ground or the inside of the tire scrapped the inner wheel well. Any help appreciated. Thanx !

Wow! I have the same exact issue. When I back out of my driveway in the morning I hear a scraping sound as well. Same thing I have to turn my wheel all the way to the right to get out of my driveway. The first time it happened I thought I ran something over. I got out of my car freaking out but I could not find anything wrong. I continued to drive it and had no issues. Now it does it at random times too. I never know when it is going to happen. I think i'm going to take it in next week when I have time. Just to let you know I have a cyber gray 1SS with 2500 miles on it. Keep me posted if anybody else has anymore info.

Mine made the scraping sound backing out of the driveway once. That was just after the ground effects were installed and I thought I may have scraped the pavement with the front chin. Haven't heard it since then though.

It is the brake system, Try backing up if you can in neutral when parked on your driveway over night. (hopefully your driveway in inclined). Then back up and dont apply any brakes until you have to. I only heard it when i back up and push the brakes hard down the driveway

Maybe it's the stabilitrack and or ABS kicking in ?

Sounds liek abs is kicking for whatever reason and squeezing on the rear wheels :( that's very odd, but that gravel you are hearing sounds like what would happen if you went to turn in a car that has it's LSD locked up and doesn't have any differential action.

I heard a loud noise when backing down my driveway after washing the car. I think it was the rear brakes stuck from getting wet. You know how you see the rotors all rusted like 5 minutes after they get wet. Everything was fine after though.

I was driving yesterday and it sounded like a metal shovel being pushed on a driveway while shoveling snow with a harmonica hum along with it. I know I didnt buy the "make me look like the retard" package but I got it anyway over here..:\ I was planning on taking it in to the dealership this mourning only to walk out to my car on blocks...MOTHA ****ERS STOLE MY WHEELS last night. messed up. anyway, they came and put new ones on and noise was still there. These GM guys better work on this shit before I drive this car through their window
