I would be in if, they can manage to clean up the steering column and not leave things looking patched. Would I pay? Not likely. In this litigious society, it is extremely difficult to make things idiot proof. Idiots are ingenious!

Ignition Recall
I spoke with a service department manager at my local Chevy dealer yesterday. They are in fact replacing the "switch blade" type key with a regular "FOB" type key.
I think I'll take my chances with keeping my switch blade key. |

According to the TSB that was posted a couple of days ago, they are removing the key part out of the fob, giving you a new key, and returning the "broken" fob back to you. They are not replacing the fob, just removing the key out of it.
