I just had a CompCam put in my SS and love it. it's got nice power and a great rumpy idle.

they custom spec their cams for what you want. Im having a vvt cam installed from gpi along with ported heads, stall, bushings and suspension work. ill keep you updated, should be back home soon.

Hey I'm looking to straight pipe bumblebee and put new headers on. The goal is loud as hell but legal. I got a quote from a while ago from down in Cincinnati from 1850-2300. I live in Brunswick does anyone know anyone close by who does a bang up job and can give me a good price with labor? Not really looking to spend over 2500 for it.

have you checked with stainless works? they're closer than cinci

Ya, stainlessworks is in Chagrin falls. They got an event tomorrow I might head to. It's about an hr drive for me.

I'm on their site now looking. I know the max db level in ohio is 70 and 79 below and above 35mph respectively. I do like the cat backs and I would do headers as well along with an airaid cold air intake. You guys who have straight pipes what do you think?

There used to be a young girl on here (found her "SS Blue Betty RS") who was in the military that had straight pipes and headers on her car. It was LOUD!

She hasn't been on in almost a year. I thought she was in Nate's friends list and she was.

Hers was very loud, but very untamed sound. Especially on decel. I was behind her on the Hocking cruise. If you want a more consistent sound, but still loud on WOT, the Stainless chambered exhausts will do that. Headers and no-cats both add to the db. Stainless Works is good stuff. They can do LOUD. I have their 2" headers.

I've had a custom made chambered system laying against the back of the house for over a year now. Unfortunately can't offer it to you as I'm meeting the guy who made it tomorrow to give it back to him. He comp'd it to me originally, but never started selling them.
It didn't have cross or "X" pipe, but still sounded good. If loud is all you want, just add the switch operated cutouts after the headers. Nothing can touch that.
