Realistic price for 2010-2013 SS?

Hello all, I am finally in the market for a Camaro, I have been living and working overseas and missed all the modern Camaro, Mustang, Challenger excitement.

Buying 2014-2015 would be the easiest move, but I just can't get past the look of the tail lights compared the the 2010-2013 and pretty much have settled on having a sunroof 1SS. There are a few leftover 2013's, but a fair amount of low mileage 2010-2013's but I can't get a good idea of what a good price would be or what years to avoid. There are just too many on the market to get the prices they advertise, which I understand is just an asking price for various reasons. Prices are all over the place, $33k for a 2010 2SS with 4500 miles? Even for the low mileage it seems about $8k too high with the way the market is but that is why I am asking what others are seeing or paying right now. A 2012-2013 6spd with under 5000 miles, manual would be perfect, but what is a good price?

Also, any feedback on the 6 automatic would be great, likes/dislikes, troubles etc. I am not crazy about having an automatic, but a lot of the good finds seems to be auto! How much extra power can the auto take, for example with a supercharger before it breaks or fails?

Thanks in advance!

About a month ago, I paid $29K for a 2SS/RS convertible with only 4K miles on it, from a dealer. Original sale date was just under a year ago (it had been sitting in a dealer inventory all that time), so it carries over 2 years bumper to bumper factory warranty, and over 4 years on engine and drive train. The car has GM performance exhaust and a few other add on's. The fact it is convertible and with "original sale date" being so recent (I verified this with Chevy service department), I think it was a great value at $29K.

I agree with you, that is a great price!

I recently purchased a 2010 IOM 2SS/RS that was a CPO with 26k miles. I purchased it for $23,800 and found it to be a great deal.

You will have to check out the different features that have been added over the model years to see which one suits you best. The biggest drawback to the automatic is the AFM, active fuel management, and they are 400 hp versus 426 hp in the manual trans cars. All the model years have been reliable but a better suspension was added in '12 and mylink touch screen radio started in '13. If you get a 2SS heads up display started in '11 but a 1SS will not have this.

Thanks, that is what I am talking about, and red is starting to grow on me, I am stuck on Blue Ray or Silver for now, I never thought about a convertible instead of a sunroof so that may open up some options, they typically have lower miles.

Yes and I am also focusing in a 2013 since it would be the newest with the original style tail lights and rear end that looks so great, but with the deals they are giving on the 2014's, it's not much more for a brand new, no mile car so it's a tough choice!

It seems like a 2010-2011, 1SS with low mile should be had for the $24k area?

The search goes on!

2010-2011 SS's are going for more than $24k with low mileage. If you don't mind somewhere between 50k miles & 75k miles there are plenty $24k and under. One guy here just got super lucky and got one for $23k with only 25k miles but he found the deal of the century.
