I will do an A/B comparison when I get on the dyno soon.
Mine surges some now, but I'm not tuned at all. I thought maybe I was just more sensitive to it, but it could be the extra airflow

Ok now I see what every body is talking about. My car is pulling hard now. I just relieved some pressure from the bolts. My only question now is sometimes when I come to a stop my rpms are a little high(1000rpms). I usually rev a little bit and it comes back down to normal. Is this normal??

It may be trying to learn the new airflow, although there shouldn't be anymore airflow at idle than stock.

I read that like you had it too tight. gasket may be bad or intake warped. But I really doubt the intake warped. Maybe put a new gasket on it and don't go Hulk out on the bolts.

I didn't go hulk on it. I just tightened them up by hand til it stopped then turned it 1/8 of a turn. But I guess that was still too much

I've been experiencing something similar. Sometimes my idle would be higher than normal at a red light or after parking. My tach used to surge very little above 500 and back down when I first installed it. Not as high as 1000 though. Took a picture of it

I guess that it is normal to have a higher idle rpm with ported TB.

I had Vmax TB on my previous V6 and the idle was not stable on 1000. Just a bit higher sometimes.

However if it goes much higher than you have an air leak somewhere in your TB. It happened with me and it was a loose bolt

Give it a few hundred miles for relearn and make sure your air intake and TB are secured well...if that doesn't work you can reposition the blade if it's rubbing at all within the bore. Might not be the solution but its a good start.
