If the 2014 2LT/RS is a brand new car $26,500 is a steal on that model. I'd jump on it. Those things MSRP for between $33,000/$34,000. Auto is closer to $34,000 MSRP with nav and sunroof.

Wow. 30K+ is a lot for the 6 cylinder manual car. On the other hand, automatic 6 cylinder cars are pretty slow and don't have a posi rear end.

For 30k, you could be looking for a used SS.

I'd like to stay around 27,000 it's going to bf 800$ a year to register for the next 5 years and 120/ month for insurance. Luckily I don't have to pay sales tax. But the insurance on a ss is like 2000$/ year my credits 730 and my driving records clean talked to 4 insurance company's all priced about the same. Down the line I could supercharge and have the same horsepower but not have to pay insurance on v8

So, i don't know if you're in a hurry, but you could order a 2015 without navigation and sunroof, and save a boatload of money if these very expensive options are not important to you. Also, if you are going to drive the car all year in New Hampshire, RS is a detriment because you will have to buy another set of wheels and tires for winter driving due to the summer tires on the RS.

My advice is usually that the buyer should order exactly the car that's right for him/her.

I really wanted the RS package, if I need to I'll buy rims to swap the summer tires to and run winters on the stock rims. It's cheaper for me to do RS for heads and tail lights than install after. I don't know if I could wait til sept for a 2015 I've been waiting for two years already lol. I've researched everything and my only just haves were 2LT and RS package anything else idc. I guess I'm going to wait and see what the dealer with the manual will go down too and worste case get the automatic, appreciate all the input.

Figure out exactly what you really want and have your preferred dealer locate it for you. Preferred color, transmission what ever. The 2LT/RS is a pretty good combination. The 1LE is pretty nice but would be about 15K more.

Do yourself a favor and test drive the manual V6 and the manual SS before you buy either one. I only test drove the V6 before my first purchase, and I loved it. Then about 8 months later, I test drove an SS, and it was all over. I had to have one. Not everyone cares about that, of course. But you owe it to yourself to see if you want the SS instead. The price you're looking at can get you a nice SS/RS. I paid $25k for my 2010 1SS/RS with only 5,000 miles on it

Regardless what you choose, you're going to love it. All Camaros are awesome. But try them both before you buy. If I had done that, I would have saved myself quite a bit of money. No regrets, though.

If you're paying cash you should have a bit of extra negotiating power. Walk in at the end of the month, say "I'll give you $25k right now for your $28k car and I bet they go for it. Cash makes it easy for them. Maybe that only works on new cars though. They seem to be really marking up used cars now. I know my dad bought his new Impala with cash and it ended up being cheaper than a used one. Can't hurt to try the cash card on a 2014 when the 15's come out. Just a thought.

This is level-headed advice and what I would suggest, as well.

You're doing the right thing. You're researching, you're studying and you're asking questions prior to making a decision.

The 2014 is an excellent vehicle. It comes with Chevy MyLink (get the NAV with it) HUD, color DIC display, etc.

Although you stated in a subsequent post you don't care about the transmission, if you're more into a manual trans. that's what you should get. I also don't understand the rationale for the 2nd Camaro priced $4k more than the 1st unless the dealer soesn't want to discount it / price match and or it has upgraded wheels and or other added or upgraded accessories.

Aqua Blue Metallic is the most rare color (besides Cyber Green Metallic) as it was only offered for 1 year but you probably won't be making a profit because of that when you trade or sell it. Does the 2010 have backup sensors??? IIRCC, early 2010's didn't have them. Also, does it have HUD (Head Up Display)? I don't think early 2010's came with it, either. BTW, MSRP on 2010 2LT was $26,580, w. RS, $1,450. That comes to $28,030 MSRP!!! Not a good deal.

As many, many C5 members have often said; "don't settle". Buy what you really want up front so you won't regret it later.

This may be a really good time to buy. It's Independence Day weekend - there should be sales, incentives and potentially really good deals if dealers are still trying to reach their end-of-quarter (June) quotas).

In studying the price lists and the numbers you presented, Camaro 1 appears to be the most advantageous deal w. auto trans and sunroof.

whatever you do, make sure you KNOW what comes on the vehicle and if you get an LS or LT, make sure you get the spare tire option.

Holy smoly, $800 a year for registration? Did I really just read that??

I own an automatic, I do wish I had a real stick sometimes because SOMETIMES they are fun. But depending on your commute, they can get old real fast imo. I would suggest going and sitting, driving each car. You'll know which one is for you.

That is a steal.. I got mine for 33.. because of military discount. otherwise with all options and dealer installed options price was at 41 with mark up. Won't lie OP but I am jealous of your deal
