Ok, I ordered the rear tires on 03/15/2014 and had them installed the following Saturday 3/22/14. I wasn't even back to work yet (April 1rst) so I wasn't even really driving the vehicle until April so it wasn't seeing extreme temps at all. Anyway, I just ordered a new tire. Either way I HAVE to have a new tire. Estimated delivery is Wednesday so wish me luck with it until then, lol.

^I really sent that request with my order, lol.

When I have new tires installed I pay for the warranty in case some bs like this happens. Then discount replaces it. Good luck, I'm sure they will replace it.

What temperatures have you had recently? If it got really really cold it could possibly cause that.
I have the same tires on my car, General Gmax AS-03, and they saw -27ºF this winter. My tires do not have cracks like that even after having them on the car over 30,000 miles.

I just called and they said it was impact damage. If so, dealer must of done it because it definitely wasn't me as I always swing extra wide around curbs and I don't know what could of done that without impacting and marking up the rim as well as I've seen these rims rashed/scratched up badly all the time without hurting the tires? Plus there's no real visible mark on the tire in the cracked area?

If you buy your tires from DTC/ATC you can buy warranty certificates that would cover this 100% and be out in less than a hour.

It's hard to tell in a picture how bad it is. There is no way it is 4cm deep, the sidewall isn't that thick, unless it is a run-flat tire, which I highly doubt it is.

Ouch! Yeah definitely dont drive on that. A new tire may be a little expensive but imagine the repairs from a blowout
