Question Scosche Dash Kit Users!!!!

Does anyone who have the scosche dash kit know if you have to have the Camaro onstar module to get your steering wheel controls to work? I have the kit set to the pioneer selection and it sill would not work.

Do you have the onstar bypass plugged in. I had a avic z140bh and the steering controls work but I had the scosche onstar module plugged in

Did you use the on-star bypass plug? I have a ken wood dnx891 and all of the controls work including the phone section.

You don't need the Onstar module with the Scosche kit to get the steering wheel controls to work. I have a Scosche kit with an Alpine head unit and no OnStar module and the steering wheel controls work fine.

I think the problem may be the onstar bypass is not plugged it in. Does it look like a headphone jack?

It not a headphone jack. It will the part that has about 10 to 12 wires looped and is not part the main wiring.

Did you ever get it to work? I am having issues with my Pioneer NEX 6000 and the controls. The toggle up/down works but no volume OR mute control. Scosche said it is a firmware issue. I used the onstar bypass. I have the on star module on order to see if that is the issue.
