Just curious but why did you put on the hose clamps since you bought the braided hoses? I have the same can but I don't recall the instruction mentioning to install the hose clamps at that location of the hose.

the hoses just slip on the inlet and outlet and it came with the clamps so I assumed that's what they were for.
