Rant away. I read elsewhere in this blog that back in the day, there were also long waits for the hot cars. My only complaint was that GM should have showed more preference for those who put money down on cars unseen. We should have been treated better, but oh well it won't make things any better. I don't know about my next car, but we'll see.

Finally got my Vin from the dealer 33,347! Has been shipped too, could have it as early as 8-20-09 or the following week!

I was an 8/3 TPW and my car had a Vin on 8/5 !- (32351). I think mine may have been built before 8/3. Mine is almost the same as yours with options: Summit white/IO/IO/A6/sunroof/20"polished wheels.
I think that parts supplies may be a cars determining factor for when its built. IE: IO door panels that were available one week, may be on back order the next week. I don't think G.M. is stockpiling thousands of every part at the factory. Just a thought, but then again, what do I know.

that may be true but im at 3400 which is broadcast doesnt that mean all the parts have been pulled and the build process officially begins? not sure but thats the way i have understood it but im like you what do i know i guess it will be born when its born congrats on your car please post pics

Woke up this morning and looked on spastic squirrel and saw my exact car going to my dealer. Oh well I will wait on Vis or my dealer to make it official.

This is the happiest day I've had in this entire process so far...The wait has just been validated and now just one more big event to occur...Taking delivery!!
