Well, Ryan (who's on vacation) has been on top of this but no word from the vendor (I believe its Texas Speed). Not sure what could possibly be the hold-up, but its a good thing I didn't wait. GPI (and Ryan) class acts for sure. Damn shame this is turning out the way it is.

Hate to say this, but I've had to reconsider how I'll do the cam and heads. Not sure @ the moment what's next but once I've recovered from this, I'll probably start looking and see what I can find locally or do it myself -- I was a tig/mig welder, auto tech, fiberglass/body, and sprint car mechanic for 15 years before 'job injury' took me out.

May use that option. Would save some $$$ -- time however...

Hum, very interesting. I have the ATI ordered to replace the under-drive pulley I had on it. BTW, my 2011 SS is the RJT too...

Thanks for your input! It is much appreciated...

After it snapped I read somewhere that under pulleys can cause a harmonic imbalance leading to the chain failure. I out the stock back on after the rebuild. Have 4000 miles on it with no problems

Wow, didn't think about that, but I do know there are a few on C5 that have 10000 + on theirs with no problem. I did decided on the ATI earlier today but you make very valid points. Appreciate the input...

The extra 5-6 HP cost me a few thousand dollars more when I had to rebuild the engine. Fortunately the shop did the work for free but I had to pay parts.

Thanks! I had an SLP. Just to be fair, I am not saying that an under pully actually caused this. There has been no determination as to what actually caused it. I am just saying that I read that it can cause it.
