There's no perfect mousetrap. Just like computer viruses, the bad guys are always figuring out new ways to commit their crime of choice. I think of an alarm system as just something to weed out the weaklings. The pros can still succeed, but at least a good alarm will cut the amateurs out of the picture, which means there are fewer crooks that are able to break into your car.

If On Star can remotely unlock your doors, how long before thieves figure out how to hack that. I've heard that it is already happening, and that they have figured out how to fool the module that an accident has happened and pop goes the door locks.

I'm hoping to make it more trouble than it's worth. Maybe a good alarm will help. I'll start looking into a better system. Right now it's between the python and viper. Really, if they're caught, it definitely wasn't worth it.

Python and viper are made by the same company DEI The viper is the high one you can get. You can also get the smartphone adapter for rather one so the when you alarm goes off it will alarm you and you can also lock and unlock your doors
