I will try to squeeze it in between the cheerleading....ok since I interact with a mustang almost daily...I've driven ..raced it....even had a few beers with it sitting in my driveway.....the only thing it has on my car is that it's a little faster....well was. Looks... handling ..braking ...IMO I have the camaro being better. I looked at a mustang and challenger. So at the end of the day I want a nice car..that's fast..looks good...with great brakes . It is a public forum....but it's more a camaro forum.

My 5.0 6 speed manual with 3.73's was faster than my Ls3, however it was not a night and day difference like some lead you to believe......stock vs stock

More then some...those 373 make the car a bear to launch....but 2nd and 3rd Seem to pull pretty hard.

The 5.0 was fun. I only had a catback exhaust with OR pipes and pulled a bolt on tuned L99 by about a fender. So they're quicker yes,but that isnt everything. I attached pics of how the paint started to fade which really led me to looking into a camaro. That was at about 2800 miles no more than 3500.

This belongs to the better half....she's tried twice to out run me from a roll....both times I pull a car length and keep her there til I let off....the last time she said she forgot to turn the ac off...hers is stock a6, mine has cai and muffler delete ..a6

My l99 was a slow pig even with boltons it would barely manage mid to high 12's. My friends auto gt with 3 mods (intake/tune/or-x) runs 11's. This camaro is just too heavy imo. It looks cool, runs good enough for alot but it needs alot of mods to make it fun at least for me...I like speed. Im hoping the 6th gen addresses all of that. Weight loss is numero uno in my book.

I have brembo brakes on my 5.0 just like my L99. Both stop on a dime if you need them to. My L99 wasn't keeping up with my 5.0 mods being equal they need a cam to run with a full bolt on 5.0.

The Camaro is only 200lbs heavier than the Mustang, its not like the Camaro is grossly overweight.

The Camaro's have Brembos on all 4's, Ford cheaped like they do sometimes and only put Brembos on the front and not the rear....

Why the l99? Is your 5.0 an automatic? IMO the l99 is very unpredictable when it comes to dynoing. Ls3 has fairly consistent numbers for the mods. Where as the l99 could be 370-400 with the same mods.

I'm going by what i owned witch was the L99. The car did wake up nicely with the tune. But it needed a cam or blower to run how my 5.0 runs now.
Also the L99 is really detuned alot from the factory. My car bone stock L99 lost to a full bolt on ls2 GTO by 2-3 cars every time from a 40-120 mph roll. After the intake and tune i was ahead by 2 cars every time.

Witch lmao you fly on a broom too? Can you drive a m6?

I just think it's funny how many a6 racers wouldn't stand a chance in a m6.. But they are so untouchable in there auto lol
