One question, if you know, I was under the impression that in a convertible, I need a roll bar for 11 - 13.49. Is that true? I've had 2 people tell me no.
Is it "Mikes" ?? LOL ... somethin' about assume ...

Alright, thanks, I thought I'd get thrown out.
Edit: Yeah, I think I must have looked that up sometime, probably in the spring.

Why so difficult to fine BREMBO pads for the ZL1?
Hello any one out there know where can buy Brembo replacement front and rear brake pads of the ZL1. Damn it made a typo in the subject header!!! (Find)
they sell the Brembo ZL1 upgrade kit on GM Performance Parts but they don't offer just the pads alone for replacement? Last edited by Mil; 07-26-2014 at 09:04 PM. |

Certain tracks may look the other way but verts usually always get caught.

All this speculation about whether the Hellcat is truly as fast as they say...all I know is if that car is truly making the hp they claim, it won't be a matter of if it is quicker than the Chevy "muscle cars", it will be a matter of just how much faster. As for the GT500, I think in the hands of a capable driver the Ford and the Hellcat will be a drivers race. The weight and hp differences should pretty much equal things out...with the nod maybe going to the 'cat because of the 8 speed auto.
I see no reason why it won't run quicker than 11.2s bone stock...considering what my ZL ran stock.

A couple guys in our club have gone to Hawks - much less brake dust than stock.

AFAIK, nothing has changed recently. You'd need a rollbar to click off a 11.2 or a 10.8 to be NHRA legal, a SNELL 2000+ helmet, and a firejacket. Things get hairy when you bust 10.00. People have posted that some tracks are letting you go faster than 11.50 without a bar, but that is news to me. As recently as a couple months ago, a friend got a warning with a low 11 ET, then ran a high 10, and was invited never to come back again without a rollbar or better.

Yeah, and it is up to the track manager as to what "no alterations" means. One track manager said if I ran with drag radials my car was altered and I needed a bar. Another one said as long as all the factory airbags are still inside it is legal. I have a roll bar now, and all the factory airbags...lol.
