How many miles on the car? Is there a GM dealer in your area? They sell a AC-Delco 5W-30 Dexos 1 global oil available through the parts counter. Another option is GM uses Mobil 1 0W-40 for exported Z06's and 5W-30 in the US. You could use that.

I've been using Pennzoil Pure Plus or Ultra. Works great and no complaints especially with Pennzoil standing behind their product.

It's also factory with Hennessy Venom and Ferrari so it is tested product and quality stuff.

Dexos 2 is used for European vehicles in diesel and gas engines. So using it you would still be covered due to your location on the third rock from the sun. Dexos 1 is the main oil for North America.

Don't get hung up on Dexos. Just make sure the ASTM testing was completed on the oil and it meets the Dexos requirements.

I would use Dexos 2 or any 5w-30 meeting ACEA A3/B4.

seb,

Your dealership that sold you your Camaro must have an alternate available. If they need to honow any warranties then I'm sure Dexos must be around somewhere.

note that there s no dealership in France for Zl1, I imported it myself.
the few camaro for europe were sold by "ex Daewoo" rebadged chevrolet dealers and they don t have tools to work on us cars ...... when they see an engine bay with a V8 inside they say " there s problem... too much cylinders ...too much spark plugs ...too much difficult"

I was just looking into oil today and since my friend is a Total distributor, we figured out they carry a dexos1 oil: Quartz 9000 Future FGC 5W30
Since Total is based in Europe, you should be able to get it there.

Been doing some research ,and the Mobil 1 0-40 European formula is what I just bought at Walmart $22.56 for a 5 quart jug . There may be very slightly better oil ,but this is the BEST at any where near this price point . I plan on changing my oil and filter every 4000 miles for street driving.
