Are you saying this is doable without the euro bumper cover and harnesses? For less than $500? Or am I reading that wrong?

Would be cool if true.

He hasn't logged on since about 3 hours after he posted that. I'm calling schenanigans.

It was a nice thought for a minute. Move along. Nothing to see here.

Anyone who did this mod, do you experience that with the headlights on the taillights pulse?

No not the fog / red LEDs....the "sunglasses" actually pulse...as if I had a stereo going without a capacitor on it

Hmm weird....Do you have resistors on the taillights? That sounds like the problem

That's what I'm guessing is the issue, just didn't know if anyone else had the issue as well?

needs capacitors on the taillight signal to eliminate the pulsing while running.

i used 4700UF caps from Radio Shack between the "prk supp" signal wire and gnd.

i found it was similar to what BMW guys use in such situations!

I too have been interested in the euro tails for some time. Ever since I saw Sleez's I was won over. Although I haven't the foggiest on how I would make it work with the z/28 spoiler and wicker bill. I do not like the 14 bumper or lights for my application. Plus I do not want a new oem trunk I want a CF one. But no one makes one that fits z/28 spoiler. Dilemmas...

FYI; these are the caps i used;

http://www.radioshack.com/product/in...ductId=2102508

most caps of similar spec should work fine. i did a bit of research and these are what were recommended on the BMW forums.

Resistors

I haven't seen any pulsing on my set up.

Also to save on the wiring costs, I found it easier to chop the light connectors off the new harness and wire them into the original harness. I was running wires from the 3rd brake/front signals/ reverse all over anyway.

Now that my original brake/turn wires are not connected, it appears this causes the BCM to think my rear directionals are out and flashes the turn lights at 2x speed with a pesky message on the dash. Does anyone know the rating on a resistor that simulates the OEM bulb? Grounding out the turn signal wires didnt fool the BCM either.

Whats the deal with this fog-tail light? When does it come on and where do I wire it? What is it supposed to look like? I'm just wondering because it seems I may need it to be UK-legal when the car arrives.

Thanks!
-Steve
