Sorry, but I am a Marine.
LOL I would assume he meant that Marine hadn't kissed anything hot for awhile because those in the military often are away from their loved ones for a long time. Or just away from women, period.

I hate this one...is the RS better than the SS?? I know it's not that dumb if people don't know about Camaros but still it gets annoying explaining that they have nothing to do with one another.

I dont even have the car yet and people are saying to me..."dont you think you should get something more practical?" or "your not 21yrs old anymore... you should get something more practical for everyday use" or "this car is only for guys in their mid life crisis" or someone said "does this mean your going to get a motorcycle too?"

I hope no one takes offense to any of these comments... i dont.. To each is own! I am 28 and already had a vette... and i heard the same comments... i think people are just jealous.

Yup. What does it concern them what you drive, unless they're less than thrilled with going 100% practical? In that case, misery loves company.

Not that I have anything against strictly practical cars or anything like that. My brothers-in-law mock our silver '04 Ford Taurus wagon, because it is a boring family car. Still, it holds just about as much as a midsize CUV, can legally seat 8 if you really wanted it to, and gets midsize sedan gas mileage. My plan is to have no-nonsense practical cars as my daily driver, but have a crazy Camaro (or other performance car) project for the weekends.

I had one lady go on and on about, "There's my car, your in my car!!! huh huh, I walked off, she opened the door and looked in!!! I walked back (shoulda locked door but it was a planned two second look at an RV for sale ten feet away ting) "she says again, you have my car!" and I kindly said, "No ma'am, its not your car, it's MINE, Steve Purcell at Hajeck would be glad to sell you one, but if you put your hands on mine again I will break them!"

Her husband luahged his ass off!

Those type of comments come from people who want everyone to be as boring as they are. When they see someone actually driving something "out side of the 'pratical' box", it makes them uncomfortable and they start to have regrets on their car purchase which is the reason why they try and talk you out of the Camaro.

I had a nurse walk up to my car while I was getting gas and asked "what kind of car is that?, is it a new Camaro, can I look at it?" All before I could respond to the first question. I figured she was either married to the micro machines announcer or a nurse in a meth treatment facility.

An IT guy at work asked "Did you get the big boy motor?"
A director said "It kinda looks like the new Mustang." I didn't tell him the Camaro is almost identical to the concept Camaro that was showncame out in Jan. 2006, long before the blue oval crowd said "Hey! let's make a car that kinda looks like the Camaro!"

I go to the car show every thursday and people ask me what size motor is it.
So I tell them its a 6.2 liter. Then they ask but what size is it. So I tell them 376 cubic inch and they look at me sideways.

The one I get alot is how much did you pay for it. So instead of telling them 50 times, I brought the window sticker and tell them theres the price. One guy told me I could buy a house for that. What a hillbilly.

When I go to the car show, all the other people showing there cars get pissed off because there are so many people looking at my car and not theirs. One guy had a 2009 challenger srt8 with twin turbo and a dyno sheet of 700 hp. He was so pissed that more people were looking at my car he left early.

Driving on to base this morning and the gaurd at the gate asked me if it ran on batteries or gas. I looked a looked at him kind of wierd and said its the new Camaro and all gas. He didn't seem to be joking, so I don't know if he was confusing it with the Volt concept or what
