Is your interior to noisy??
Just a quick question...
Is the interior of your 5th gens to loud. I'm not talking about the sweat note produced by mashing the pedal... This is more towards tire noise leaking in (especially in certain states where the roads have a certain compound) & some aftermarket exhaust that can annoy the ear everyday or on long trips.. The reason I'm asking is that we had came up with a product a while back for the C6 Corvette. The C6 has practically no insulation and the cockpit is extremely noisy. The product has 4 layers made with real acoustical materials and simply lays right over your existing carpet/rubber. It is pre cut & It takes 30 seconds to drop it in. It does a great job suppressing and absorbing irritating noise.. So we wanted to know if most of the 5thgen guys suffer from this too? I'm asking because we would make custom pre cut mats for you guys too. Just thought I'd ask. Thank you |

Same here, too quiet. Find myself doing 85 mph and not realizing it.

I've had 2 - 2nd gens, a 3rd gen, and 2 - 4th gens. The 5th gen is be far the quietest of them all. This could change over time, but as of right now, feels cozy and quiet.

It may or may not be as quite as many cars, but it is such an improvement over the Gen 4 Camaro and Firebird that it seems great. I think the capture of the top of the side glass is a big contributor.

Road noise is very low or what I expect from a car with tires as large as these. It is not annoying in the least.

Great & interesting responses. My buddy had an aftermarket exhaust and he mentioned it... so that's when the idea kicked in.
Even road noise ay... Well Im guessing that's that .. .

I think it could be better for the long trips listening to music. For short in town drives, not a big deal.

As the miles have piled on, I've noticed more and more squeaks, groans, and rattles. I suspect it has more to do with the way the car was screwed together than a lack of sound deadening.
