ROAD COURSE JUNKIE
|
I used racing brake pads for my stock brembo's and I really liked them vs stock pads and hawks. I ran a couple sets of track pads and I liked the performance of the racing brake pads vs any others.
Since the CTSV conversion it's the only pad I have ran so I don't have anything to compare them to.

So guys what is best CTS-V rotors; ZL-1 or Brembo? I don't care about the look, I just need faster stopping power at a reasonable cost. Being able to stop when someone cuts you off when your doing 150 plus... Glad td195f clarified the price of the calipers for me.

From what I've read, the 2-piece ZL1 rotors are quality pieces.
I'm looking at going with the Brake Performance (Part # RB-62128) for two reasons. I like how they look and they come with a lifetime warranty against cracking & warping.

[QUOTE=Firefighter;7853038]The ZL1 rotors are Brembo.
And are two piece with aluminum top hat. Maybe a little lighter but aluminum dissipates heat better and the next time rotors are needed, you only need the rotor, reuse the top hat. Also, the ZL1 rotors are directional and in theory will move more air and cool better as well http://www.ebay.com/itm/Chevy-Camaro...70c8ab&vxp=mtr |

Also if you guys buy used calipers you can get boots and seals from Racing Brakes. They also sell some light weight rotor options but they aren't cheap at all.

The cts-v rotors do not click. You must be sure to remove any rust or dirt on the spindle with steel wool, then brake cleaner. They won't click.
