Yea the dreaded drone issue is alive a well in the C6 too. I have headers & loudmouth II's. When they were first installed, I drove with my head out the window like a dog coming home from my shop.

The Blockit (what the product is called) Helps take the edge off drone. Super quick (just lay it in).

OP, why don't you go test drive a new one and see for yourself? My Camaro isn't nearly as quiet as my F-150, but it's certainly not annoying either.

I have. But to get a broad opinion from other states where the road surfaces vary and with all the different aftermarket exhausts, driving a stock car in li does me no good. My friend however had an aftermarket exhaust installed and said the interior noise jumped up.
So I could not think of a better way to receive information/ opinions from a vast majority then to reach out on the forum. Even in the few posts within this thread you can see there are some who's opinions are very different.

Chevy Performance Muffs in a vert dont mix too well.

Definitely depends on the pavement or asphalt on the road. Newer roads tend to be quieter, because they are smoother. But roads that were asphalted and then tarred over, but not rolled over (i suppose to be smooth) are much much louder. Highways are usually the worst for me, but thats 99% of my driving so I am used to it.

We sold the most Blockit sound deadeners to, TX 1st then Ca 2nd...
Absolutely has something to do with the surface. As you mentioned, the roads are either concrete and or a compound the DOT lays and its makes the tires howl.

I guess the next question is if we deaden the trunk, would that help suppress the sound. I believe its leaking through there. If so, the blockit mat should do fine. Big thank you for stepping in Kleeeb

I would try it out, but can't afford much of anything right now as I'm starting college next month. I do get more road noise than I would like

I love the sound of exhaust, but hate the road noise. Here is Cali all the highways are concrete which are very noisy. Most of the noise seems to come from the trunk area. It is annoying when on phone or listening to music, again I am talking highway speeds only. I own 5 vehicles and my Camaro has the most road noise, even over my F-350.

I'm a little confused..I have a 1LE and I don't hear any road noise at all. Its nice and super quiet. Is that a 14 vs other year thing?
