Hey guys just a quick question I thinking about buying the jba high flow cats and was wondering if I buy them do I need anything else that I need to buy to make it work thanks!!!

I would personally go with the SOLOS. They come complete and ready to bolt on and no tune needed. I will be placing an order soon for mine.$575 shipped.

I was curious about that as well. Been reading for weeks the difference between solo and jba and it seems solo is a little more reliable in not throwing a code.

i just got mine put on this morning. no code no nothing the first 50 miles or so. i get to work and car sits for 5-6 hours. Crank it to go home, and check engine light was on but from my understanding it isn't gunna hurt the car no make it function out of normal. but yes i would like to know if extenders of good quality or something else works to get rid of it. AND THEY ****ING SOUND AMAZING.

How would you rate the sound of JBA cats versus just pulling the fuse on NPP exhaust? Any idea?

The JBA" are bolt on as well, and no tune as well. I got mine for like $375.00 or so.

It's not the cat per say, it's the extender that keeps the fumes away from the sniffer, that's what i was told.

can you believe the sound on cold start up

I talked with JBA before i bought these as i didn't want to be dealing with CEL's etc. They told me to get the Vibrant o2 extenders and to use the medium size insert. It's been 2 weeks now and all is perfect.

There is no contest. I had the fuse pulled from day one, and we all know how wonderful our baby's sound, but OMG with these cat's, it is nite and day difference. I would do it all over again, and i would even pay double for the cat's the sound is that perfect.

I would love for someone to compare the sound, on your NPP with fuse pulled, and JBA cats setup, versus the exact same setup and NO cats at all.

I'm very curious if it's a minimal difference at best, or if a significant notch difference in sound characteristics between the two.

I pulled the fuse on my npp and it does not change the tone nor make it louder. It just makes it where the valve is always open when cruising. I kept it open, bc I love hearing it pop even when im in 6th gear. I don't think it's louder though.

I hope with solo or jba cats, it will be louder and change the tone to a more deeper or aggressive tone. maybe.

It makes a HUGE difference with fuse out, once you install headers, and add either high flow cats or off-road pipes, and I mean a Jekyll and Hyde difference!!!

Difference wasn't as dramatic pre fuse pull and post fuse pull with stock exhaust manifold in place, and stock cats in place, but there was an audible difference when putting around town at partial throttle with a few more dB's, but nothing to really make a haters head turn, so I can somewhat agree with you to a certain extent on your observations.
