So I saw this thread, and thinking that it was that one of the really old concept pics posted a while back, sighed and clicked to the end to see why someone would resurrect this thread. Then I noticed the "today" posts went back quite a ways...so I clicked to the front AND HOLY FREAKING COW!!!!!!!!!

I was wondering when we'd see a vert mule and they come out with a nearly finished one. The headlights are even better than I hoped they would be. I actually like the enlarged lower grill, and of course I love the main grill, and this is the first ragtop I ever thought looked good with the top up. I was almost certainly going to get the coupe, but now I'm going to have to carefully consider my options...

My only gripe is the antenna. Hopefully that is just a pre-pro placeholder that will go. Shark fins are fine, but masts belong on old sailing ships. I suppose I could just remove mine, as I pretty much only listen to XM now.

I've been set on the vert since day 1. All my Camaros have been ragtops....but at the risk of being a doomsayer that we hate so much around here, I have a serious concern that this is not a tonneau-style when the top is down. It's real hard to see and we have to save judgement for the high-res versions but it sure looks like I can see the bundled top behind the seat there.

So I'm crossing my fingers that we still get a tonneau over the top when it's down.

Also, several people are asking questions that just can't be answered, which is why noone is answering you. Just letting you know not to get offended and you aren't being ignored, it's just that there's no way of knowing some things from two tiny pics of a pre-pro.

I know a lot of you are digging the grill but IMO that will be the second thing to go for me. Tint the windows and replace both grills, upper and lower. I think there is lots of room for improvement there.

It doesn't look bad....just not my style.

I'm not a 'vert person either, but I do like that car!! I am so glad to see a spoiler. Mine will definitely have one! I dont mind the antenna. A V6 'vert will be an option.

Damn Ive always been anti-ragtop, but Im very pleased with how she looks....Not really sold on the hump on the bottom of the bumper....hopefully it grows on me. Besides that I just fell back in love!!!

I hope thats true. When GM showed the pre-production Saturn Sky and Pontiac Solstice they had no visible AM/FM antenna, but as everyone knows it does have it. I just don't like mast antenna's, IMO they detract from the looks. Plus they are an eye sore. It wouldn't stop me from buying but I would take it to an audio shop and have them put a power antenna in its place.

I prefer this front end over what we've been seeing with the coupe. Everything about it, probably because its more 'final' and less 'thrown together'

Its missing one like all the other shots we've seen. There is a space for a badge (SS, bowtie, Z28, etc).

We don't know what the SS version will be so . . . no. The people at GM know though, too bad they never let us in on that stuff. Feel free to speculate, the time is running out for that stuff.

Halo headlights, as I found out when I asked, are that ring of lights that you see. I've seen a few BMW's with them. I'm not all that impressed, but the masses like 'em so who am I to judge?

plus 10 for GM. They really leave the looks almost like the concept especially the headlights. I can see a pontential of a future Indy Pace car.
