Doing Factory Wheels 'two tone'

I wanted to update my wheels, but didn't want to spend $$ for something that 'looked' like factory knockoffs.

I wanted a 'two-tone' look that had the RJT color in the wheels. What I finally decided to do what have mine 'updated'. Several members here used 'CurbRash' to do theirs 'blacked-out'. So, I contacted Casey, created a photoshop of what I wanted, and he set out to make it happen -- boy did he and his colleague Brett.

This is what I came up with:

Asked Casey to match the RJT color (with the color code).

So, today was the day. Brett and Casey did the 'prep' work to get the wheels ready:

Once the prep was done, Casey painted the RJT. We did find the RJT was a bit thicker paint (Best to make sure it does not get on the Rotors as it takes a bit more effort to get the paint 'off').

While I was at it, I had the bowties also body color:

Rear:

Now, here is the finished product:

Rear:

Wheels!

Casey and Brett admiring the work:

Digging the bowtie too!

Transformed the car ('play on words ;o)

Very impressive Don. The wheels look great. Curious why you didn't take the wheels off to paint them, but I don't know what tool was used for the job.

did the same thing to my bowties with plasti dip... probably a lot less prep and labor intensive... wheels look great though.
