Kris tells me they also have the Cat deletes for them and I was concerned with them because of threads here, I was told that they should be good to go since the tune includes a provision for this. (I have to dig back through my post to know for sure what the tune provides).

You'll need a tune if you get headers, simply to eliminate the CEL.

Check out our ZL625 package if you're not wanting to tune yet. Basically a Roto-Fab, VMAX, ATI balancer w/5% OD pulley and a 160* thermostat.

Feel free to call, PM or email me anytime with questions.

I've got KOOKS 1 7/8 on the 12' manual and we put ARH 1 7/8 on the 14 auto. Both cars have Cat deletes, the 14' also has a Magnaflow X pipe

I will sell my stainless works long tubes with offroad pipes if someone wants them. I don't think I will need them any more.

Any video on both vehicles? Also at what point should one consider 2" headers? I'm having a hard time deciding between ARH, SW, and kooks. Negate the prices and what would you guys go with? I've been listening to videos all day trying to decide what I want

from what I have seen on this car there is not much of a downside on the dyno to 2". many people will say you don't need 2" till like 800hp but I have seen some dyno data in the 600-700 range where 2" produce a bit more power up top and did not lose any low end.

I went 1 7/8 cause I cheaped out and went stainless power but if I had spent the money on kooks or ARH I would have went 2".

gaining 5hp at 5500rpm does not translate into to much as your not there very long.

that how I made my choice I am putting the $500 I saved toward injectors so I can add more pulley but in my goals were higher I would have went 2" kooks or arh.

I am in an odd situation though I spent wayyy to much modifing my megacab so I have to be a cheap SOB right now.

What are your goals? I only plan to go to 700 at the wheels right now(that's how I'm feeling right now). I'm close to just calling it ARH 1 7/8 because of a good price. But if I don't it's between 2" kooks or stainless works. Some say they are the same

We are picking the 14' up tomorrow. I can get some video then. The 12' cam has a hard lope at idle so it might be hard to compare. I bought the kooks locally before I had decided on a shop. When I went with Davenport they deal in ARH but installed the kooks when they did my car. When we took my wife's car there I just bought the headers from them

It will be greatly appreciated. Im looking to install headers by the end of the month but don't know which ones to go with at the moment. One of the hardest decisions I've had to make with my Z. I want it to sound perfect

You're not going to notice much difference in sound comparing long tube headers. The things that matter for sound are x vs h pipe and if you run cats.

Here's a comparison BaylorCamaro and I did. Both cars have stock engines at this point.

As mentioned before the brand of headers we are using makes no difference in sound but one has stock catback and the other Corsa.

Both cars also have cats at this point and both cars have since blown them out, so be careful with that.

Another good sound video of headers with stock catback on the road.
