I have the one that looks like carbon fiber.I like it ,after you have been driving the car for a while and the engine compartment is hot you can open the hood and feel the heat int the engine bay area and then stick your hand in the air filter compartment and it feels much cooler, like outside air, it works good and looks good.

I have had mine for almost a month and absolutely love it. Steve and the other guys at LMR are top notch. I just wish they would move their shop to Kentucky so I can personally visit them.

LMR will be my first choice when looking for performance upgrades for my Camaro.

This kit works well with the Maggies too, with minor trimming.

Here's a little more info to make it easier for you guys:

I just got mine today.
Its too hot in the garage and I've been working all day so I'm going to wait until Saturday to put mine on.
I'll report on how well mine fits. I also have some rubber trim material (left over from an LPE intake I had on my GTO) that will probably work really well on the LMR intake if needed.

We have personally installed over 100 systems in house with NO issues and have also shipped out an additional 100 systems with no issues that I am aware of from a customer. Please feel free to give me a call at the shop to discuss any questions you might have.

I thought long and hard about posting this, but this forum is supposed to be for members to share information, so I'm doing this in the spirit of sharing information with my peers.

You PM'd me this AM about my 'fit and finish' review of your product (http://camaro5.com/forums/showthread.php?t=36539), so to say you're not aware of any issues is misleading at best. In case there's any doubt...I snapped a couple more photos of the 'issue'.

We, as a forum, are BRUTAL on GM for QC issues, and I think we should demand the same from our aftermarket vendors. I'm not saying that your product does not deliver the promised performance gains, I telling my fellow forum members to double check the fit of the shield and trim the piece if necessary to ensure that the shield does not damage the finish on their cars as it has on mine. On my car, your piece has an issue with the manner in which your heat shield contacts the strut tower brace causing it to rub the paint and primer off the metal. I do not expect, nor want, any remedy on this issue from LMR. I simply want make sure my fellow forum members do not encounter the same issue that I have. I am not telling anyone not to buy your product OR offering preferential opinion of another brand, I am simply sharing my experience.
