I'll pay the fine avoid holes in the bumper! GM really needs to stop providing brackets that require damaging the car to install!

Hey Urban....I've got mine done this same way....but got pulled over a few weeks ago. Told me that me windshield location wasn't legal. So I actually looked it up and found the court case where they ruled that it had to be on the front most part of the car (bumper). Just figured I let you know. Now the current fine here in Texas is up to 200 bucks. Sucks...but it is what it is. I've noticed it's always a State Trooper that pulls me over for the license plate thing. Normally I don't have one.....but this last one pulled me over anyway with it on the front windshield.

Cool. Thanks. State troopers love that stuff. Got pulled over on 1 jan 2014 for no plate up front. <--- True story.

In the province of Ontario we need the front plate, mine was not installed by the dealership so I ordered the eliminator bracket which is very easy to install...never had the plate on but if I get pulled over I will put it on in front of him so he might give me a break, it only takes 2 seconds..just finished detailing the car and I forgot to put it back on...lol

Where did you get that bracket from...? I was told they didn't make one for the ZL1's....

+1, highly interested.
Did you modify it in any way?

I thought about the jacfab, but it just won't grow on me. I put the license plate in the window, but need a solution for the time when i meet the wrong cop.

Could you lower the eliminator bracket one bay in your grill so it was totally below the bumper?

By doing so doesn't that interfere with air intake to the front?

I think lowering it would help with the intake actually. Look at the pics above, the hx is high in the lower grille.

if you look at the back of the bracket, the top of it has to sit on the bumper to stay firmly in place, if you lower it you would have to build that part up somehow or it would more then likely fall off.....the top of the bracket sits on the bumper and the bottom clamps on tight on those 2 brackets in the grill..
