I agree and what I find particularly shocking is that this 2015 Z06 Coupe is 171 lbs. heavier than the 2013 ZR1. That is apples to apples comparison and shows the extent of the added content on the C7.

There could have been a last minute name change that they didn't tell us about like the ZL1/Z/28 situation. During development of the ZR1 maybe they decided that they could price it for Z06 money and come out with something more expensive and better suited to take the ZR1 name further which would match the ZR1 mid-engine rumors that we are hearing. We saw how much the bald, fat guy army reacted to a tail light change. They can't handle the truth and they love their automatics and convertibles.

I will just place this in here instead of creating a whole thread in the feedback section. It seems silly to close a C7 thread because there is another site to discuss C7 news. It's called General Automotive..... C7 threads should be allowed to exist there. I'm perfectly fine coming to Camaro5 for all of my automotive news and honestly I don't want to bounce around between 3 sites to get it. JMHO

For my 4,000th post, I'd like to share with the family, here, what a pleasure (usually) it is to arrive in the comfortable confines of this site and, specifically, the HouZe. To share as family our quirks, and cackles, and cat-calls, and to generally feel welcome...and safe.

Carry on...

Not only that but C7 is pretty dead. I used to check regularly but I never saw any real discussion.

Can't make any dough unless the traffic is up. Surprised by the move.

Nice place to play the 4,000 card.

Yep. Need the traffic to higher levels.

Same here..... I would have been happy with a C7 sticky in general automotive. We always like to talk about Corvettes as Camaro fans... We usually get trickle down technology!

In all honesty if they start locking threads to promote other sites I will move on to a site that doesn't.

That being said I will always check in on certain threads here....

LOTS of head banging required, Mac, when YOU visit the HouZe!

Speaking of which:

Hey, HouZe regulars, stick around today for a major celebration!

In October of '09, Number 3 started a thread. It was simply (?!) a thread about non-specific issues and interactive chat (kinda like "Seinfeld"!) to specifically stay in touch with another guy, ShnOmac. Maybe bust Mac's chops a little about "potential Z/28 developments" (I'll let Number 3 fill in the TRUE intent!). Generally, to let Mac know he had friends who were interested in his welfare while "over there"...

At least ONE constant remains: this is still an "oasis of calm in a sometimes-stormy place" (camaro5), the odd bit of "flak" aside...

Well, as the clock on the wall says, this is post 14997. I think we need a roll call (and reveille'?!) while we wait for the guests of honor...but DON'T post past the magic number, please.

Let the head banging begin!

Did anyone order a CAKE? A bucket o' chicken? A bucket o' BEER?

Hope so...
