ZL1 shifter emblem
I purchased my 2013 ZL1 new back in like May of this year. It was a hold over with 130 miles. I noticed this emblem on the shifter that I had not seen on any of the other ZL1's that I had looked at. At first I thought it was a Hurst shifter but through some of my research on the Z's before I had bought this one I found that the Z's had their own version of a short range shifter. So after looking at it closer I realized that it didn't say Hurst but rather 5.1 shift ratio. So I was curios if anyone could shed a little light on this for me and give me some info.

It has me baffled
. One person on a Facebook page told me that it was an aftermarket shifter that you can get from GM and that he had installed one on an SS for a buddy of his. I haven't checked out the GM performance website yet but figured someone on here may have seen one before or could have some info on it. I have the guys in the parts dept. at a local Chevy dealership checking on it as well. I looked at the MSRP last night and it didn't show any option for an upgraded shifter.

Stitching colors don't seem to match...I smell an aftermarket change...but what do I know. My knob is fuzzy.
