Hoosier Drag Radials

I have a few questions about a set of drag radials, and skinnies before i decide to buy them. The front tires are 26" x 6" x 17" Mickey Thompson Sportsman S/R. The speed rating for the tires H. Which is up to 130mph. Is anyone running these tires or can anyone give me information on why its only rated for 130mph. The rear tires are 275/40/17 Hoosier DOT Drag Radials. I was reading online about them, people are saying to only use them at the track and that they are not to be driven on. Is anyone running these tires on the street?

What tires do you run? I guess the hoosiers are bad on the street?

I think with the hoosiers would be fine in dry weather.

Okay, I'm more worried about the skinnies. Why would they only be a H rating up to 130mph?

I have a set of hoosier drag radials. They are basically a slick with two groves cut all the way around the tire to get a DOT approval. If it is dry they are fine, if you hit any water at all they hydroplane. They are a very focused drag tire. I just mount drag radials when going drag racing. You could drive on them in the dry. I personally think you are better off buying another tire to mount for street driving.
