Warm start issues with Maggie 2300
Okay, this is really starting to get on my nerves. At the start of the year (before my rebuild), I started noticing slow/weak starts when the engine is warm (recently shut off). My original battery tested good, but I decided to put a new one in anyway, since it was old. That didn't make any difference. Fast-forward to today with rebuilt engine, etc. and it's gotten worse!? First start every day is perfectly normal. If I've been driving around for a while and then make a short stop for gas or anything else and try to fire her back up, it will struggle to crank and sometimes not crank at all if it hasn't cooled down for at least 10 minutes. The longer I wait, the better it cranks and starts.
I'm so sick of having to think about when/where I can make stops or if I should drive my beater instead for certain trips. Has anyone else had this type of issue or know what could be causing it?

Headers close to a starter will cause this. At least it did on my friends Chevelle in the 70's.

Starter could be going out. Also double check the connections to it. Make sure they are clean and that all grounds are clean/good. It could be a tune issue, but if it use to be ok, then changed it shouldn't be.
