Already, we've not only driven but also track-tested the 2015 Dodge Charger SRT Hellcat's sibling, the Challenger SRT Hellcat. With that 4449-pound coupe's 707-hp monster under the hood and an eight-speed automatic, 0-60 mph came and went in 3.7 seconds, onto a quarter mile time of 11.7 seconds at 125.4 mph. That time reflects launching the Challenger SRT Hellcat on asphalt, and without the help of all-wheel drive -- the optional six-speed manual might help produce quicker times. That manual gearbox, by the way, won't be available with the Charger SRT Hellcat. With the 2015 Charger SRT Hellcat sedan, just like the Challenger SRT Hellcat, moving rapidly is just part of the picture. The Charger SRT Hellcat is Dodge's rolling burnout machine, and now with additional space thanks to the extra two rear doors. Read more: http://www.motortrend.com/roadtests/...#ixzz3BM297HRj |

The facts are that Chevrolet has 270 million cars recalled for ignition switches and air bags that's got to be some kind of record don't you think. Quality control is not one of GMs strong points.

Buddy, you're in the wrong thread if fact (well, what journalists and the company say) and personal experience are part of your argument.

I have owned Chevrolets and I liked them all. I did have problems with them but no more than any other car or truck. I am getting a little tired of hearing about Chrysler quality thats why the comment about the recall. Seems like some of the Chevrolet guys have forgotten that GM has had their problems also.

So that's why you should buy GM and what's the point in knocking a brand of car that you would not buy anyway. People whistle through the grave yard because the are scared. Other people knock other brands because they want to convince themselves they made the right decision when they bought their car. I think your choice was right for you but its not for every one thats why we have the big three. I get a choice and so do you. If you race then you know you don't win them all. Some times you lose one you should have won.

I hear what your saying but MACs (computers) are more reliable than PCs but there are a lot more PCs out there than there are MACS. So sales are not a good reflection of quality if they were MAC sales would be higher than PC sales.

And we have bought GM, and the majority of the people here are ZL1 or Camaro owners, for whatever reason. This thread is to talk about we think GM should do as an answer to the fat kitten from hell. I believe the consensus is that GM should pursue this in Gen 6 but it probably wouldn't require the HP the fat cat has because it is a better platform. So while it is nice Dodge has finally waken up but they are missing the boat on the current performance industry which includes road tracks. Chevrolet saw the writing on the wall, that is why we have the 1LE, ZL1 and the Z/28, Dodge, what's your answer to them apples? I bet it can't beat anyone of them on a track. I think Gen 6 will retake the stock 1/4 best time.

Last time I checked the numbers don't lie the Camaro has been on top in sales even with all the recalls.( that ALL manufacturers have) Looks like they even drew you in to this forum. Welcome aboard.
