Blacked out interior (for the most part..)
I just blacked out all of the grey crap on the interior. I still need to do the stereo panel because I couldn't figure out how to paint it and still allow the light to show through all of the symbols. The pictures aren't great because it's a bit overcast outside right now, but I like it.

You can't paint the buttons or else the light wont shine through. Unless you literally have the steadiest hand in the world and are willing to sit there for a very very extended period of time and paint around it. I don't have a touch screen, however I was able to paint some parts of the stereo, maybe this will give you an idea of how you could go about it?

You need to get the hard wire for your radar detector like $8 on EBAY best thing, and very clean

Nice job OP!!!
I did the same thing, replaced door panels, and had everything else, including dash center air vent bezel painted carbon flash to match the zl1 door panels. I'm on the same boat with you in regards to the touch screen HU on your '13. We may need to share notes on this one, it_has_got _to _go ASAP that grey! |
