Can someone who's done this with G2 tell me... Is one kit enough for all four calipers?

G2 caliper paint
I recently painted my calipers with G2 paint and i probably have used just half of what was provided to paint all 4 calipers. So surely 1 kit will be sufficient for all 4 calipers.

If you just want a standard colour, go with the dupli colour or VHT cans. They are way cheaper. I went with the g2 system because I wanted the colour match inferno orange.

just posting here so I can find the install instructions when I do this in a few weeks. Sorry to necro the thread! I was just about to spend $400 for painted caliper covers - this is SOOOOOOO much cheaper!

I did mine also I special ordered the color matched the RRM to match the color of my car. You would not think there would be as much in that little can but I had enough for 4 coats on each caliper and was going to do more but my damn hands got tired!!! I still had some left over too. Its not cheap to order the custom stuff I think it came to $114 but its worth it to me, looks great if you as me.

I did the G2 system once. They looked amazing for a while but after about 10k miles they started to chip. Eventually they looked terrible, and it was difficult to clean off the remaining paint in areas. If I color my calipers again, I'll be having them media blasted and powder coated. It will cost much more, but I won't have the anxiety those paint chipped calipers gave me.

Would a solution to that be to just paint it another color or add ANOTHER coat on top of the affected chipping area? |

Repainting is always an option, but once you mix the paint initially, you have to use it. To repaint, you'll need to repurchase.

I'd imagine it'll end up saving you money in the long run just to get them powder coated once and for all huh? |

I never repainted. I just saw the chips and poked at them a bit only to have them grow and flake off even more. That's when I took a wire brush to them and cleaned off as much as I could. It was pretty disappointing. Not just the money, but the time saved alone would be worth it to me for powdercoating. Especially if you can buy them and send your originals in for a core rebate.
