WTB winter/beater car

Hey Guys - So I am looking to buy a winter car so I don't drive my Camaro in the winter, mostly because I don't trust rear wheel drive and I don't want the salt to ruin it.

I am looking to spend around $1700, if you know of anything or have one please PM me. I just want it to run, I don't care how it looks as long as it can safely take me on the highway all winter thats good enough for me!

Thanks

Well in the famous quote "that escalated quickly...."

My wonderful wife, who first was all behind me buying the Camaro (has to be black she said, laugh away) now thinks it better for me to get a winter car to "save the body". Who am I to complain?

So to pile on the OP start, I am in the market. Price range would be 2000-4000 depending on car, condition, you know the drill.

To be fair, at this point I have NO IDEA if I can go 5-6 months without Christine so I may just go the winter wheel/tire setup anyway. But I thought if folks know some cars or people selling cars, why not see what is out there. Thanks!

I will need about a week to clean it out because of my work schedule but I plan on selling a 2001 ford f-150 xtra cab, it's great in the snow. Four new tires, automatic, 4x4,150k miles and runs good. I had it inspected and have the title. Has a small exhaust leak. And some body rot. I will be selling for 1800/ Bo.

If anyone is interested in the f-150, just shoot me a pm. This is what I was going to use all winter instead of my camaro but I got rid of the camaro for a silverado and don't need two trucks. Thanks
