I can understand everyone's concern with straight piping a v6 but to be honest I just like the way it sounds. I'm 17 and I think it sounds better straight piped than with the MRTs. So my next question is would it be any different to buy a straight pipe exhaust like the loudmouth 1 or just to go to a muffler shop and have them weld pipes on(way cheaper)

Cool, but the original poster is in Callifornia... and is 17. Perhaps the thought of "California Emissions" has not caught up with them yet.

Just my opinion, but I'm going to share anyways lol.
I disagree with anyone that says you should just leave the V6 alone...to be seen and not heard and all that. That said...I absolutely dislike the sound of some of these straight piped V6s. I'd rather just have stock for sure. So I can agree completely. But you can make the V6 sound nice, and not be stock. It just takes more effort is all. The idea is to get a louder, but mellow sounding exhaust with lower tones, and add something (usually a resonated muffler) to kill the rasp that always comes with opening up a V6 exhaust. The combination of headers, with a good "controlled" exhaust really sounds good on these cars.

Ew, straight pipes. I like my stock exhaust, but I'm an old fuddy duddy at 25 years old.

I was really just wondering if the v6 with the straight pipe exhaust ending at the axels will sound different from straight pipe ending at the back of the car. I'm straight piping it regardless of what people say haha.

My guess is as it is under the car, the sound stays trapped there under the car. Allowing the pipes beyond the car will let most of the sound out and not reverberate under the car, like someone else said earlier.
