I'm too short to hit the key. I'll ignore the recall.

I did it. It's really no big deal.
I thought one of the "concerns" was the weight of all the other crap people put on their key chains.

I'm not going to get my switchblade key replaced. I think it's all a crock personally. Since I have owned my 2010, I have never had any other key on the key ring besides the lojack fob. I think all of this is stemming from people having too many keys on their key ring. My knees don't come anywhere close to hitting the key. With that being said, I am choosing to accept the risk that comes with keeping my switchblade key.

It's a key people. You know that thing that is in your pocket. It has nothing to do with the performance of the car or the looks of the car. I will get mine swapped out, because it's a KEY people.

Funny how some people react. If the letter said there was a recall on the axles, because it could the car to shutoff, everyone on this forum would be standing in line at the dealership, demanding it be fixed as soon as possible. Find out it's a key, and you might was well shot their dog first before they give up the key.

It is funny how people react, like getting all worked up because people want to keep their switchblade keys. GM also says not to use anything but Mobile 1; however, I put whatever oil I want in there. There I said it. I feel so much better now. I don't do everything the dealer says, I admit it.

If I owned a Toyota, which I wouldn't, I wouldn't change out the floor mats unless they gave me a problem either.

I'm such a rebel and a risk taker.

You are going to hell. we all do what we 'decide' to do, but wow, the amount of people worked up over a key is amazing.

So the camaro is not the only car GM makes with this style key, Wouldn't every vehicle by GM with this style key fob have to be recalled?

The problem wasn't with the key to begin with, it's a common sense issue that GM is trying to provide a "fix" for.

Don't hang your file cabinet from your key ring and your ignition won't have a mind of its' own.

One of the downsides is if you're in an accident your insurance company can deny the claim.
