Does anyone confuse your Camaro for a Mustang?

Nope, nobody EVER mistakes my Camaro for a Mustang. Not ever gonna happen. My machine makes a noise that doesn't sound like a stang, and they all know it as soon as they hear it. And the sound is the ONLY thing they talk about.

Used to be they liked the looks, and all, but now, they don't even care about the styling, just how badass cool it sounds with the lopey idle of the cam and headers.

It's not a matter of confusing the three. It's that they never knew what each of them were to begin with. They may have heard the name, seen sporty looking muscle cars, or even had a relative who owned one. None of these precursors will lead the casual car buyer to have any clue about which is which. The vette owner, service department employee, car show member, and prospective car buyer do not get any passes on their stupid remarks. Everyone else casually commenting to give you a compliment should be excused.

Had a cute little carhop come out to my car one day and tell me she loved my Mustang.. I told her Thanks, but it's a Camaro.. She said, I don't care, it's still HOT.. I let it slide and probably would've offered her a ride if I were 20 years younger..lol

My older sister has always called my Camaro a mustang, but she's not a car person so I forgive her.. Lol

A couple of months ago, I had just parked my car in front of a friends house and this woman came up to me to ask if this was one of those new electric cars from Cheverolet.... haha. That comment blew me away. Haha

I just traded my Mustang for my Camaro, and IMHO there not even close. Here is a rear pic of both when I traded. The only thing the same was the color.

My little cousin is 4 and my family plays a game on road trips with camaros. As soon as you see a 5th gen, you have to shout "I WIN!" and you get a point. Whoever has the most points at the end of the day wins. Regardless, my little cousin calls all of the pony cars camaros so he can claim his victory lol. And if you call him out on it, he will say "Stop it. I am just 'tending!" It's so adorable.

I bet you will get the same because you bought another yellow car and people will confuse that with your old Mustang, but I agree they dont look alike but to someone who could care less about Muscle Cars I could see them getting confused...

I had a woman and her young child stop in front of my house one day and complimented me and my mom on having such a nice Camaro and mustang. They thought my Challenger was a Camaro, and my mom Camaro was a mustang. Smh
