He would be stupid not to use the biggest thing in automotive news today to boost the city, plant and what north americans should support. Made here, buy here.

Camaro cost is cheaper then a Suburban that most of em drive- and gets better gas mileage.

Good for him regardless of the brand and make. They should be more hacked off If he was driving something built in the lower 48, or over seas. Scared to say, but get ready for more of this to come to all of us. I get it here once in a while and I live in a predominently red southern state. Sorry mods, but politics is hard to ignore with this thread.

Sooo...anyone here from Oshawa know this Bill Steele guy?

Mayor should do an epic burnout in front of his house.

Good for the mayor! I'm sure I will get some criticism from conservative friends when this 71 year old gets his RJT Camaro within a month or so. But....that's OK........I want to be an ALIVE 71 year old that drives what he likes!

Good for him! Ultimate support for the people of the community which he serves!!!

Maybe they wouldn't get so upset if he drove an S550 Mercedes. Nothing spells pretentious for a public official like a mega buck luxo cruiser!

That mayor ROCKS, IMHO....

What better way to promote the Camaro that is being built in Oshawa and supporting GM...

also, he is like a "free commercial" for the Camaro...

Because "conservative" in-their-right-mind 71 year olds drive sophisticated sedans. I think many would really like to drive a Camaro but afraid of not fitting the image.
