The fun never stops for those that want to have it

Last year a few of us had a great time at the 40th Anniversary Peace River Car Club Car Show in Punta Gorda. I had such a great time, I've already registered for the 41st Anniversary Show, which will be held on Saturday, 14 March 2015. I can tell you from experience that if you want to go to this show, you should preregister today, as slots fill quickly. Go to http://peacerivercarclub.com/ and click on "show registration." The cost at pre-registration is $20 per vehicle.

Last year there were some really phenomenal cars and people at the show and I'm sure it will be the same this year. Two of our clubs Camaros won plaques, which was unexpected considering the show quality of scores of other cars at the show.

The show is on the grass in Gilchrist Park right on the Peace River. It's a beautiful location and a great time.

If you'd liked to enjoy a great day with other car enthusiasts, register today and let me know if you'll be going and maybe we can "Camarovan" to the event.

It was great meeting you and Karin too and glad you could make it. Sorry you had to leave before the 50 cal came out. That was a real experience!

I know the baby's coming very soon so please post some pics of that happy day

Tri-County Camaro SWFL 21 March 2015 Meet Announced

Last month's shootout at the Babcock Ranch was a blast (pun intended) and already people are chomping at the bit to make a return trip. Club members brought a wide array of firearms and the sharing was great. Especially memorable was Joe graciously letting all club members shoot his Smith & Wesson 500 and the unbelievable 50 cal!!! Thanks again Joe!

Talk about making return trips: In November 2013 the club met at Ford's Garage in Cape Coral and had a great time. At the shootout we were discussing ideas for future meets and overwhelmingly folks wanted to return to Ford's Garage in March. We coordinated with the management and they will be happy to have us return on SATURDAY, 21 MARCH 2015. We must be there before they open to secure parking in front of the restaurant. They will be holding 15 slots for us and those will go fast. It is highly recommended you show up no later than 10:45am.

March's Meet:

When: Saturday, 21 March 2015, at 10:45am. (Don't Be Late!!!)

Where: Ford's Garage 1719 Cape Coral Pkwy E Cape Coral, FL 33904

More fun:

At the meet on 21 March we will again discuss future activities. Remember, this is your club and you decide what the club will do. It has been suggested we make another CAMARO RUN TO THE KEYS in May 2015. The last time we did this was in September 2013 and you ain't gonna find more fun in your Camaro!!! To get a decent hotel rate, and reserved Camaro parking, we need maximum participation. If you would like to be a part of a really great weekend with friends, please let me know ASAP and come to the meet on the 21st of March to finalize plans.

Also, last year a few of us had a great time at the 40th Anniversary Peace River Car Club Car Show in Punta Gorda. The 41st Anniversary Show, which will be held on Saturday, 14 March 2015. I can tell you from experience that if you want to go to this show, you should preregister today, as slots fill quickly (I'm not sure if slots are still available, but you can still try to register). Go to http://peacerivercarclub.com/ and click on "show registration." The cost at pre-registration is $20 per vehicle.

Last year there were some really phenomenal cars and people at the show and I'm sure it will be the same this year. Two of our club's Camaros won plaques, which was unexpected considering the show quality and high dollar value of scores of other cars at the show.

The show is on the grass in Gilchrist Park right on the Peace River. It's a beautiful location and a great time.

If you'd like to enjoy a great day with other car enthusiasts, register today!!! A Camarovan will leave from the Cracker Barrel Restaurant at I-75 and Palm Beach Blvd Saturday morning at 7:45am. We need to get to the show early to make sure we have great slots overlooking the river. So, wash your cars and come out next weekend. You won't regret the effort!!!

Speaking of car shows...maybe you've noticed the paint on your car not looking as great as it used to with swirls and other blemishes. You all know Dustin...fellow club member. He has invested considerable money in detailing equipment and supplies and has offered to detail cars belonging to club members. You won't find a better deal than this and you won't find anyone that cares as much as Dustin! (camarodreams76) I asked him to write a few paragraphs on what he can offer us. Please read on:

ATTENTION TRI-COUNTY CAMARO (TCC) CLUB MEMBERS:

I am willing to provide a detailing service to any and all TCC members of the SWFL Chapter. This includes a hand wash and dry, clay barring exterior paint and windows, one or two step machine polishing and a hand wax and tires dressed. Also I can include minor interior detailing to include interior vacuuming, cleaning and an application of dressing and window cleaning and sealant. Every car needs its own special attention. Your car will have an amazing shine after I am done.

All products used are Adams Premium Polishes. These products work extremely well and are in their own league compared to the stuff you may pick up from the local Advanced Auto or Auto Zone store. Adams is so confident in all of their products they offer a 110% satisfaction guarantee.

Exterior
- Washing - Adams Car Shampoo and washed with their 10" wash pad that has a swirl free guarantee and is dried with Adams great white microfiber drying towels.
- Clay Bar - Adams clay bar is used and is lubricated with Adams detail spray, which is hands down one of the best detail sprays on the market
- Machine Polishing - The only thing not done by hand in this entire process, only because the hand cannot simply get the job done correctly . The machine is Adams Cyclo polisher and Adams paint correcting polish and paint finishing polish are used in conjunction with the Cyclo to remove the swirls and scratches. The Cyclo polisher machine creates virtually ZERO heat on the pads during the polishing process making it almost impossible to mess up the cars paint. All of the products are wiped of with Adams double soft microfiber towels which are Adams softest microfiber they offer . Machine Polishing is the actual process of removing a fine layer of clear coat to give the car a swirl free showroom look. For those of you worried about taking all of your clear coat off, you can do two full paint corrections for 10 years and still have OVER half your clear coat thickness left.
- Wax - Another hand process done with Adams Americana Premium Carnauba Paste wax that is applied with a provided microfiber applicator pad and the wax is wiped off with Adams double soft towels to prevent swirling and messing up all the work I just did.
- Tire and trim Dressing - Adams tire shine applied with their hex-grip tire applicator and Adams SVRT is applied on trim pieces
- Windows - The windows were clay barred for this exact reason. Adams sealant is applied and the glass is cleaned with their glass cleaner and special glass cleaning towels for amazing clarity and protection

Interior
Vacuum - self explanatory, seats, carpets, little cracks in-between the seats
Cleaning - Adams has an interior cleaning product, great for getting stains off of leather seats
Dressing - Adams leather conditioner is applied to the seats, dash and center console. The interior conditioner gives a nice shine and has SPF 65 for great protection and is not greasy like many other products
Windows - The windows are cleaned with Adams glass cleaner

I know that some cars are in better condition than others and some will need only one step paint correction and will not need two steps. Also I know a lot of you have black cars which show a lot more swirls. My price will be $20 dollars an hour. This includes my materials I will use which total to over $1000 dollars in detailing products and equipment alone. I can travel a reasonable distance as long as your garage or wherever is not in the sun and has adequate space and is well lit considering lighting has a huge role to play in the overall quality of detailing. Garages must have electrical outlets. You can also drive to my house and I will use my garage, whichever works best. I work fast but at the same time have an extremely fine eye for detail and am very meticulous and precise in my work and your car will be treated as if it were my own.

If you are considering getting your car detailed, check the pricing of local detail shops. Be ready to take out a second mortgage for them. Most shops don't even do paint correcting polish, they will use glazing which is pretty much makeup for cars. Apply it like you would for a night out on the town, and expect the brilliance to last just as long as a woman's makeup would. You will not be disappointed in the finished product and your cars paint will have a deep shine.

If you're ready for that great shine on your car, PM me at camarodreams76.

Good to hear Neil. We've missed you at the past few meets.

Will you be joining the group Saturday morning at 7:45 at Cracker Barrel?

And to paraphrase Paul Harvey: Now here's the rest of the story. The plan is that after the show, we take a trip over to the new (opened 7 Feb 15) Fat Point Brewery in Punta Gorda to sample some of their brews in their tap room.:thumbup :

Id say hello but feel like it would just echo in This dead thread.

Hung out with a group of 20 other cars today on some texas back roads, twisted sisters, sort of like dragons tail. Camaro held its own but i will say those damn genesis coupes are quick as hell around the corners. Lightweight and turbos were tearin me up lol. Well that and Jen being scared whole time. Did see a motorcyclist who fell over rail and was very lucky didnt die. Was a long drop down but managed to fall into some brush about 15' down

Nobody here but us chickens Talk about this thread being dead...you should visit the Miami and Tampa threads...nothing but cobwebs there

I recently read a story about the Twisted Sisters. Sounds like fun. The Hyundai might take the corners OK...but the Camaro looks a lot cooler doing it

Glad to hear the motorcycle guy came out all right. Could have been a lot worse.

How many Camaro clubs are there in San Antonio and are you learning to speak the lingo?
