Looking to upgrade my Camaro any suggestions?

Hey guys,

I just got a 2014 Camaro 2LT RS and of course like anybody else that gets a new toy your next thought is, how can I improve it? My car is all black with the RS package rims as well as lights. All that is cool but with a car like this there's a million ideas that pop into your head to upgrade its appearance and performance.

Im looking to make my Camaro all black and white including: changing out the inside panels to white, getting white stripe down the bottom of both sides as well as the side of the hood, and trying to get a black and white grill as well. Also looking into some performance things to check out, its my first car especially my first nice car with some speed so i am unsure what the best things are to add and what things are wastes of money. Not sure if i am going overboard or if there's more that I should look into doing haha. Also wondering if trying to get a photoshop of this all would be a good idea?

Any opinions and/or referrals would be awesome to hear as well as any facts about whether or not it will devalue or tarnish the integrity of my car.

Thanks guys

Let's get some pics in this thread!
Did you buy it new? From a dealer or where?

But it depends how much money you're looking to spend to begin with.

Always a good start to tint the windows, get new rims, black bowtie or bowtie removal in general.

A different grill can really make the earlier models look mean, but I'm not sure about the '14s and '15s.

As far as performance mods go, you can do a supercharger or something like that if you want to shell out some serious cash (six grand or so).
It seems like you're going for more looks on the car and less on performance. Otherwise I'd suggest you upgrade to a V8, but there are several guys around here with V6's that'll run 11 second quarter miles. Just not quite as easy to do!

Well since you are new to camaro land, before you do anything drastic look into plastidip! There are several colors, and you can really do a lot of things to change your cars appearance, it is really really cheap and completely reversible!

Also as far as looks, interior, exterior and pretty much any kind of mod you can kind of mod you can think of, there are threads and forums to help you along the way.

Welcome and happy modding!

New Camaro (especially a V6)... step one is install a good Catch Can. Then you can work on the asthetics with the peace of mind that the inside of your engine will stay cleaner and, consequently, run better for many years to come.

Thanks for the feedback I will definitely look into getting a good Catch Can.

I am not looking to go absolutely crazy with all of the supercharger/turbo stuff like that because im pretty much going for look right now. If I ever went with a v8 than that would be a different story.

As for the plastidip, can you pretty much do any kind of striping with those and still have it look good/ last long? sorry if any of these questions seem juvenile but its my first real car.

I attached some pictures as well
First is my car second and third are striping ideas
Everywhere that is pink i would want in white though

I bought it new from a dealer in NJ. What kind of things did you do to your Camaro? Just want to make sure i'm not going overboard you know?

If you don't want to go overboard, then you chose the wrong place to ask questions like this. We're pushers when it comes to modding.

Great looking car. Like PalmerGA said, get a catch can first. Then get a second job so you can pay for all the stuff we are going to tell you to get.

I recommend a catch can, window tint, plasti dip your emblems, and vinyl graphics of your choice. Vinyl graphics are easy to do yourself if you allow yourself plenty of time and buy good quality vinyl. There are how to videos on You Tube and graphics sponsors on the forum that you should check out. Nice car and good luck.
