This all looks very cool, if I had an external 1TB hd could I use it on this? Also, what was total cost for you guys? Has there been an official DIY install write up yet? Besides XM and voice calls what else should I know doesn't work? Will "Lim" try and make it where the phone can answer calls through the unit ?

Thanks!

Didn't have to splice into anything. Powered from the fuse box. The video rca cable is plugged into auxillary I believe or maybe front. But I have done it without splicing

Oh wow. I thought you meant you couldn't voice dial or something. I understand now.

Can anybody else with this unit confirm or deny that the steering wheel controls don't work for initiating a call?

How does the sound quality of this unit compare to other aftermarket radios? Is there an equalizer? Does it have preouts on the rear for a sub or only the speaker wires to connect to stock?

I have the ******** stealthbox setup along with JL Audio Speakers and amp but still running stock radio, the sound quality is lacking and I have been on the fence about this unit or going with the ugly Schoche or Metra setup...

no sound or WIFI connection

I've had this unit for about 6mo's now and everything was working fine until a few days ago. I have a hot spot that I use for internet and it says that it is connected to the radio, but when I try to do anything using the internet the connection drops. i'm not sure why i have not changed any settings. the other issue is I can only get sound using the radio. i get no sound thru USB ports (my ipod) and when I can get it to connect to the internet I get no sound from Iheart radio or pandora..... Any suggestions? everything else still works fine. i haven't had time to take it out and check anything.

The first thing I would try is a hard reset. This radio is basically just an Android tablet. And sometimes they need a reset when they start acting funky.

That would also be my suggestion. If that doesn't work Lim may have to send you the flash file. Load it on a micro SD and do a reformat of the system. I have never had that issue though.

Ask Lim to send you the link to the OS. Once u download it, insert it into the front SD slot, turn on and follow the directions. It will wipe and rewrite everything

Might have a bad adaptor. Think I saw them at radio shack for a few bucks. Someone else (maybe it was you) also mentioned they had a weak radio signal midway through the thread. Maybe that could help

This is interesting. It seems like bigrobkc is the latest one to purchase and has had a much easier time than those that purchased earlier. I love the design of this and don't understand why some us vendors haven't attempted to create this especially with the popularity of camaros these days. I have emailed "Lin" as well to acquire on purchase and see if many of the earlier issues are resolved. Only wish it was paintable but hey guess you can have everything your way. I will keep the thread posted if I purchase.
