That will get rid of most of the drone plus you will get the performance benefits of the xpipe. I have the exact same model car as yours and this is the setup that I have. Everyone thats heard my exhaust loves it. Not obnoxiously loud but loud enough, not raspy either, just smooth, deep and classy. Think exotic car and thats what it sounds like at hard acceleration and WOT.

Which one of these two is better? and also whats the difference?

With the stock hpipe it sounds slightly louder and it gets raspy and harsh sounding at WOT, the exhaust note is not as smooth. It will only void the warranty of your exhaust system. The quad tips I did afterwards. If you go the quad tip route you'll have to swap out your diffuser with a ZL1 diffuser. My suggestion if you go the MRT route is to put them on, let them break in for a few hundred miles and if the exhaust note and drone are too loud or too raspy for your taste then add the resonated xpipe and remove the resonators.

im going to probably end up getting the mrt 2.0 and down the road get the zl1 tips. What intake do you recommend because ive been looking them up and im so confused as to which ones are good. ive looked at afe power, k&n, roto fab and bbk. id like an intake that gives like 15 extra hp and about 15 lb torque boost. What do you have on your car?

Check out Dynomax VT's. A poster named Medic911 has that setup. He's got a video him testing the throttle controller by Vitesse Motorsports in the sponsors v6 bolt on section. His is pretty mean sounding also.

Without a doubt go with Cold Air Inductions Cold air intake. And if you can get the package from Apex Motorsports that has the racing scoop and windshield washer reservoir relocation kit. Those two are win in my book. The CAI system is completely enclosed and contains reflective insulation inside the enclosure that is supposed to reduce heat soak. Theres numerous threads here of independent testing done that consistently places it at or near the top in HP gains. They've also tested it under real world conditions and have used FLIR to verify lower temps inside the intake. The appearance is second to none as well . It looks great in the engine bay. It's this attention to detail that has me sold on this product.

That's the one. Apex is selling that plus the WW relocation kit and air scoop for 500 right now I believe. Go to the sponsors section and you'll see what I mean. I don't have roto fab so I can't give my feedback on that but a lot of the members here speak very highly of them. You can't go wrong either way.

i might go with the cai cold air intake because it gets the most and it looks like a huge bitch to install with that big insulated heat shield it has. so its between that and the rotofab. how do the intakes hold up in rain and extremely cold weather cause in ny the winter gets brutally cold

The install of CAI intake was really easy. In fact, it took me about 15 minutes to install it. As far as performance in inclement weather, I'm from SoCal and we're in the middle of a drought. As a matter of fact we just got over a heat wave last week where temps were in the 110-112 degree range where I live here in the I.E. CAI and air scoop performed well in the heat. The butt dyno didnt detect any noticable perfomance loss in stop and go driving from the heat. Maybe some other posters who have endured the brutal New England winters can chime in on the how well the CAI performs under extreme snow and rain.
