V8 Gal... every day until October/November (unless the weather turns earlier) then off the road for the winter. Drives to & from work (18 kms each way) and then the daily night time cruise. Add in the weekends... smiling all the way all the time!!!

She's my daily driver for now at least till the summer is over. Then I'll look for another vehicle. Cause here in Tennessee we hardly ever get any snow but when they just call for any snow the salt the HELL out of the roads here. So I'm not going to do that to drive her with salt everywere. Plus it's hard not to drive it everyday right now cause the cars so hot you feel like a rock star everyone wanting to talk to you and take pictures of her. So I'm going to live this feeling up as long as possible. Just afraid by next year she won't be as famous. She still be awesome car but everybody have seen them. Just hope GM don't flood the market like ford does the mustange. Hope they build mainlyfor orders and not to fill up lots. Don't know if that's how Dodge does the Challenger but here at local Dodge dealership they may have 1 on there lot every couple of months and you rarely see them on the roads were I live. Which to me makes them seem more rare. I'm not saying Dodge doesthat it's just how it seems here were I live. But you go to Ford dealership and they have 25-30 Mustangs on the lot which 75% of them are the little V-6's. They may have like 5 or 6 GT's on there lot. Of course that's also my experience with local dealers not sure how it is in other parts of country. Well sorry for the long post. Just wanted to throw my 2 cents in the post!

I commute on a motorcycle, but when it's raining hard or is below 40 degrees, I drive my Silverado (2005 with only 19k miles on it).

The Camaro will be a garage princess and mostly driven on the weekends to carshows and meets. I'll probably drive it to work on a Friday from time-to-time.

It's great to be an empty-nester!

Absolutely not, she'll be out on sunny weekends from June to Sept. I'll spend the rest of the year crying about the payments made to something I can't drive .

There is only about 3 mpg difference in the V6 vs the V8.

Now the cost of the gas may play a bigger part in it if you're on a tight budget..... V6 = Regular gas / V8 = Premium gas.

In our area that's about .30 to .40 per gallon difference. But I crunched the numbers for my commute (65 miles round trip per day & BTW... I ain't movin'!!) anyway the diference in the gas costs is only about $10 per week more. So....... no biggy, really. For me.

I was torn for a long time, I actually ordered the V6 trying to stay practical.... but over the 11 1/2 week wait at 1100, I reconsidered last minute & went for it!! I knew I'd not be happy with the V6...so, no need buying something you know you'll wish you hadn't.

Good luck in your decision. Just make yourself happy....... you'll be the one driving it.

I plan on taking much better care for my SS than I could if it was my daily driver. If I wasn't so obsessed about it, I would daily drive it.

Yes. I don't have the money to keep two cars, so if I'm going to get a brand new car, my rationale was to get what I wanted!

Yes thats the reason you need to ask people who are selling their cars if they have any other vehicles. If its not their DD DONT BUY IT!

I plan on using this car during the Spring, Summer, and Fall when the weather is good. Come winter this car goes under a cover. No RWD car belongs on the roads up here in the winter, especially a car like this.

Not for me. My current ride - 2008 Nissan Frontier - has 7900 miles on her - 1 year old last month. I ride my motorcycle as my daily commuter and only take the truck when I need to shop or haul etc. Since my girlfriend has a Tacoma truck, my 2nd toy will now be the Camaro!
