I figure I should get 42-45k for my trade. The base price for the Z06 is 78k. There is no other pricing at this point. Using the pricing for the Stingray options, I figure the car will sticker 91-94k.

Yellow would be the color as my ZL1 is yellow.

If you can afford it go zo6
I just had this conversation yesterday.
I own a 2010 2SS/RS and my dream camaro is a 2014 ZL1 in white with CF inserts.
But the only thing I would rather want is a 2015 Z06 corvette
What ever you do it won't be a bad choice though

Keep the ZL1. Who needs $50k+ of debt? Get a low mileage used one down the road.

According to Kelley Blue Book, it might be more like $35,000. You could be looking at $60,000 out of pocket.

You only live once my man. I'd get the Z06. Love my Zl1, but I'd get the Z06 if I didn't have a kiddo.

My wife says I can have only one toy. I have been reading about the new Z06 and the car sounds incredible. I guess I'm just looking for some opinions. And I know one in the hand is better than two in the bush.
If you can afford the Z06, then this is a ridiculous question, especially since you labeled it a "toy".

To me it comes down to looks, as the performance level of both cars are really about bragging rights (for 95% of owners who will never track their cars). To me the new Vettes in general, including the z06 are too angular with too many bits and pieces (vents, scoops, spoilers) making the car look choppy.

I will be getting one in the spring. Not trading my ZL1 in though. I will wait and sell it privately. I had a 2008 c6 and sold it for the Zl1 thinking we would use it more as a family car (I have 2 daughters) but it never worked out that way. Seems like unless we were just going for a drive together we would always take a more practical car or truck. Part of it was I not excited to leave my Zl1 in parking lots etc. Love my Zl1 but I am a corvette guy at heart. The shark grey/ laguna blue with black wheels is my favorite also. Tim

Z06 pal. Not even a question if 1- you can afford it and 2- if you don't need back seats.

How bad do you want it?

Same opinion here. If you have the funds and don't require a back seat. Buy it, I would!

I not sure it's a ridiculous question. I have driven both and owned both cars. I haven't driven a C6 corvette. The Camaro always seemed like a caged animal that needed released, where the corvette was a more refined power. I haven't driven a stingray either, but I am in the same situation when I ordered my ZL1, no pricing, and no clue when it will get built. All I know is I do have an allocation.
