The Bluetooth no longer lets me make calls or stream music from my phone.. I also hooked a hard drive up to it and it will not recognize it. Maybe I need to reformat it and will try that.. Anyone else have those issues?

Nope, never had much luck with phone calls. However I just upgraded with the Russian version of 4.0 as advised by Lim. Now microSD won't play music, but everything else works and it fixed my radio preset issue. I'm thinking my card went bad so I am beginning the process of transferring the music from a backup file.

So I did a few things to make sure this got fixed. If it goes again I will default to something being wrong with the OS.

I loaded backup music on a different microSD. I did find one file that seemed to be corrupt.

When I loaded that into the unit, the music still did not work.

I reflashed the Russian OS into my unit, redid all the settings and once again loaded the newly made SD into the unit. It worked.

So like I said, if this goes out I will default to something being wrong with the Russian OS. I did email Lim, but havent received a response. In the meantime I will just keep my fingers crossed.

In nearly a year this is the first time the thought crossed my mind to just go with a brand name unit. However I just don't want to endure the loss of all the gadgets and gizmos and time into this thing. There is nothing close that is brand name on the market right now....however soon I believe there will be with the Open Automotive Alliance Google put together.

Just FYI, I have the low end model with lesser memory and lower resolution with the original 2.3.4 upgraded to 4.0.4 OS. I have torque (just cause) running through bluetooth, always expandable music, reverse camera, front and rear camera running through a DVR, navigation, internet radio, etc. There is no unit out there right now that runs all those things on the same interface short of a CarPC unit.

I was toying with an idea to show the outside temp. I will have to give it a try tonight.

Do you think you create a floating widget in the torque pro app for ambient temp and put that on the home screen?

Hmm that might work. On a side note, no problems today with the SD card....

I think it was a combination of bad file and Bluetooth. The BTarm wanted to connect, which I paired. I had to deselect phone and media and when I did that music was on. When I tested it by checking the box again, music went away. So anyway got that figured out now

Im having problems with my amp. When I turn on my car I get a POP sound. It's really loud and I want to figure out how to get rid of it. Any ideas?

Ok. I tried the floating widget in Torque to get the outside temp to show. It works great up until you turn the car off. Even though you can have Torque launch automatically when the system starts, the floating widget does not. It would require you to go to that gauge every time and create a floating widget.

Back to the drawing board.

For anyone with the USB webcam to get it to work you have to go to settings and enter in /dev/video3 and then next and finish don't select find just go back to the main camera page and it should work (should meaning sporadically) sometimes it crashes and sometimes it doesn't want to show.. Anyways just some info.

Has anyone been successful getting an external hard drive to read? I can't get it to show up in the file explorer

I have a issue that some times when I turn the ignition switch my radio doesn't get any power I close the switch opening again and it works happens every day has any one fixed that?

Nope but that freaked me out its happened about 4 or 5 times including twice when I tried to brag about the system to my girlfriend. She just stared at me and said horrible decision lol.

I've had the power issue as well, more as of late. Only happens once in a while, never happened when I was on 2.3.4.

Also I'll try the webcam apk again with the new OS, as of right now its not even installed. I lost it when I upgraded.
