pulled the trigger:removed the front plate
I have been going back and forth for a while now, worried that patching the 4 holes would look like crap. Went to a awesome shop and it came out great.
Waiting 30 days and then getting a bra installed. -Bobby

It's against the law in IL to drive without a front plate. I just pay the ticket it's total bs and a mere cash grab for the state. I love the clean look without it.

After I first bought my ZL1 two years ago, I used a Corvette front plate bracket mounted under the splitter as seen in some old threads. After a few weeks, I took it off and it's been sitting in the trunk ever since. Texas requires front plates, but after 13000 miles I've still not had any problems here in Houston. Of course, I'll probably get a ticket tomorrow now that I've said that...

Luckily the dealer that had my car sells a lot of corvettes and never puts front plate holders on and performance cars.
I told my dealer if they put the front plate holder on in prepping the vehicle I would want a new front bumper.
