Awesome thanks Scott. My wife's 2ss rs Magenta is a one of 116, plus probably not all of those had an sunroof and nav. And I am pretty sure its the only one with chrome spring edition wheels. Way cool.

Nothing on RPO: DTA/B/C? I see stripe counts in your 2013 data.

This is really interesting....I know the v-6 outsells the v-8, but never would have guessed the margin was that large....

I can't see Chevy stopping production of the v-6 with the 6th Gens in favor of an I-4 with numbers this high...
It seems that many people that buy the V6 (here on Camaro 5) buy it because of the gas mileage. A 4 cylinder Camaro would only increase the MPG's with a similar or better HP/TQ due to turbo. So a 4 cylinder Camaro might outsell both the V8 and V6, and in that instance the V6 might actually sell less than the V8 and 4 cylinder Camaro. We will have to see how it ends up for Ford and later on Chevrolet.

What amazes me is how most people that buy the V6 buy one of the highest trims. I always thought that the 1LS/2LS would be the trims that get sold the most.

Something that would be interesting to see in a few years is if the V8 slowly starts decreasing in sales. That would somewhat point out the death of the affordable V8.

The V8 is being regulated out of existence. Are you aware that CAFE regs rise to fleet averages of 35.5mpg by 2016 and 54.5 by 2025? These standards were not legislated by your elected representatives but rather imposed by bureaucratic fiat.

As Al Oppenheimer said in public comments at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway in May, we have the technology to meet the 2016 standards. If the 2025 standards remain in place, your choices will be dramatically changed. If you like high performance V8s in your Camaros, vote in politicians who will allow their continued existence.
