20" Drag Radials - 650whp +

This question has possibly been asked but the results were just too many to go through so I figured I would just ask again. I have pretty much worn out the rest of me street tires now that the car has gotten boosted and am just about ready to move up to the drag radial again, especially since the car isnt daily driven anymore. My question is, those of you making 650+ whp (a bit less is cool too) are the 20" drag radials working out for you on the street as far as hooking up? Any of the 3 choices input are appreciated. (NT05R, NT555R, ET STREETS) I want to save up for a set of 17" welds for the track but still want to ride around on my forgestars on a regular basis. Thanks again!

You will never hook any tire on the street. The drag radial will offer some better traction but hook, Nope.

Yea I need to get some kind of improvement. I start from 35-40 in one lane and end up in the next, so I am looking to atleast stay in the lane.

I have a set of 20" NT05s and 18" NT05Rs. Neither of them hook up, at all. We have the same power. If you want street tires, go with the ET Street II.

But get the 17" Welds with Hoosier slicks.

Your car makes to much power. You'd light up a slick on the street. Control your foot is your best option. lol

I've been driving around on a 275/60/15 pros. I can spin them at 60 if I lay in to it. Best thing to control the car is the throttle.

Haha, yea that's what I have been doing. Sometimes it gets a little trickier than I expect. I always make sure the lanes beside me are clear before i hit it.

ET street are good, just be careful if you get caught in the rain.

Oh believe me I know on that. I drove my friends vette on et streets on a wet road it was very...swayish lol. I plan to keep the car in the garage on rainy threat days, but I know there's always that chance.. especially in GA summers.

MT will be a lot safer than a street tire at your power level. Rain is bad.

17" ET streets are the very best you're gonna do. Unfortunately you'll need to take the plunge to see if they meet your requirements.
