There seem to be so many options when it comes to wax (spray and paint sealants) which is the best to use? I assume i want the best sine I will use it in the snow.

I use Collinite 845 for the winter months here.

So how is something like this different than something like a wax that comes bundled with a car wash.

Durability, after multiple snow storms my car gets beat with all sorts of grime and salt and it holds up well against it all.

I have used Griot's clay for many years and I never had an issues with it. I do not clay my cars more than twice a year and the 8 ounce block they sell last a long time for me. I just replaced it last month after about 2 or 3 years. I have tried their car wash and I did like it but I have become addicted to Adam's car shampoo. I also have a DA polisher from them with orange pads that I bought about 8 years ago. It works great.

There are multiple categories for protection... From least durable to most durable: wash and wax, spray wax, wax, sealant and film. If you want the best for snow/grime a film is what you would want, but it can be expensive.

That is very very temporary, probably lasts less than a week. Quality products will last much much long. Film years, sealants 4-6 months, wax 2-3 months and anything else is negligible for your conditions.

Thanks for the "best of" list. I just ordered a few MM microfiber towels & cloths for personal use.
The Main one (crazy pile) wasn't in stock, but I got a Dry me Crazy, slogger & the 800. But the website wouldn't let me choose what kind of credit card I was using. However, I called the phone number listed (after hours), and it was answered. He told me how to select the card in a different manner, browser issues.
So I am happy.

Can the Ultima Tire & Trim Guard Plus be used for the black plastics inside the engine bay? (I know no one will see it but still would like to keep it looking like new)
